Fred Goodwin's House Raided
Former RBS bank boss Sir Fred Goodwin’s house and car have been vandalized.
The disgraced boss who is on a 650,000 a year pension had his luxury 3 Million mansion in Edinburgh vandalized by attackers who called themselves “Bank bosses are Criminals.” They threw bricks at his windows, and damaged his 80,000 pound Mercedes.
After the attack a shaken Sir Fred fled abroad after refusing to hand over his 16.9 million pensions.
They smashed three windows and battered his plush Mercedes S600 one of his fleet of cars including 2 Ferrari’s and a Jaguar S-type
In October he left his role as Chief executive when the Scottish group announced a record loss of 24.1 billion. This meant they had to be bailed out by the government for 20 billion. This is the largest annual loss in the UK corporate history.
When he steeped down he rejected a reduction in his pay package even the government pressure could not stop him walking away with a huge amount of money.
The bank is thought to be paying 290 pound per month to keep his property safe. This includes CCTV around his home and for security staff.
Now a police car is guarding the entrance to his home in the Grange Area of the City.
The damage was clearly visible through the gates luckily he was not at his home during the attack also he is said to be considering a move to South Africa. This could now become true.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesperson and officer said they were called out to his Home at 04:35 GMT
Meanwhile, they may have had a bailout by the government. But this has not stopped them from the Scotland based Group have axed another 98 staff in Rotherham, South Yorkshire as its cost-cutting spree continues.
