Speed Queen's Birthday Gift
Dulcibella King-Hall has become the oldest person ever, to complete a lap, at Brands Hatch motor circuit. The 106 year old broke the record in a new BMW M3 at a top speed of 108 MPH.
As an early 107th Birthday present Carers at Dulsi’s home arranged for her to be driven round the track three times, as the passenger in the BMW.
But after all 3 laps were up; Ms King-Hall still wanted another lap and said that the ride "Could have been faster".
For Dulci's 100th birthday present, Lena Akers, the social events co-ordinator from her care home, organised rides in a Rolls Royce and a Porsche. Lena added that "cars that conform to her liking for vehicles that have 'sufficient go' in them".
But this year Lena felt she needed to "up the ante".
Dulci's love of speed came from being a test driver for the British army in World War Two. Dulcibella King-Hall has a lifelong "love of speed", in more ways than one.
Let's hope Dulci has many more speedy birthdays to come!
