What's a keystone, anyway?

Because the ceiling-mounted projector points at a slight downward angle towards the Smartboard, the vertical edges of the image usually 'lean' in towards each other instead of being parallel. This effect is called the 'keystone'. Changing the keystone setting on the projector allows you to compensate for angle that the projector is mounted at, resulting in a properly rectangular image.

How to change the keystone setting permanently

1. Using the remote control, press the Menu button.

2. Use the directional keys on the remote control to move down to Projector Options, then across to the submenu.

3. Move to the Menu option and press the Enter button.

4. Move to the Menu Mode option and change the setting to Advanced. (If it is already on Advanced, leave it as it is).

5. Press Cancel to leave the menu.

6. Now alter the keystone until it suits you: press the Menu button, move down to Image Options and choose Keystone. You can change the keystone by moving the slider left or right using the direction buttons on the remote control. You may also need to adjust the size of the image by gently turning the front of the projector lens.

7. When you are happy with the image, press Cancel to leave the keystone setting slider.

8. Press Menu once more, go into Projector Options, Setup, Page 3 and move to Keystone Save. Change this option to On and press Enter to set it.

9. Press Cancel to leave the menu.

All being well, the keystone setting should be fixed so that the adjustment is not necessary each time you switch on the projector.
